Cursive font generator
Type your text to see it in flowing cursive and script letters, then copy the version you like into a bio, a caption, a name or a message. Bold cursive reads best on phones; the lighter script looks more like handwriting.

Two kinds of cursive
Cursive is the bold script alphabet in Unicode: thick, connected-looking letters that stay readable at small sizes, which makes it the usual choice for names and bios. Script is the lighter version, closer to fine handwriting or a wedding invitation, and it can look thin on small screens.
The letters only look joined. Each one is a separate character, so a word in cursive has the same number of characters as in plain text, and you can edit it like any other text after pasting.
Where cursive works well
Keep long sentences, links and contact details in plain letters. Cursive is harder to read at length, and screen readers may spell it out letter by letter.
- A name or a short tagline at the top of an Instagram or TikTok bio.
- A signature line in a caption, such as โwith loveโ or a shop name.
- Headings in posts on apps that have no formatting options.
- Short greetings in messages, such as โHappy birthdayโ.
If a letter looks different
In the light script style, eleven letters, such as the capital B and the small e, live in an older part of Unicode, so on some devices they look slightly different from their neighbors. Bold cursive comes from a single set and looks even everywhere.
Accented letters and other alphabets have no cursive version, so they stay as you typed them.
Frequently asked questions
Can I use cursive in my Instagram bio?
Yes. Copy the cursive version and paste it into your name or bio field. Instagram shows the characters as they are on almost every phone. Keep your username and links in plain letters, so people can still find you and tap them.
What is the difference between cursive and script?
Both are Unicode script alphabets. Cursive is the bold set, with thick strokes that stay readable on small screens. Script is the light set, closer to fine handwriting, and a few of its letters come from an older block, so they can look slightly different on some devices.
Is the cursive generator free?
Yes. It runs in your browser with no account and no app to install. The text is converted on your device and is never uploaded, so you can try as many versions as you like.
Why are some of my letters not in cursive?
Unicode has cursive versions of the plain letters A to Z only. Accented letters, such as รฉ or รผ, digits and other alphabets stay as you typed them. Try spelling the word without accents if the mix looks odd.
Can I turn handwriting in a photo into text?
Yes, with a different tool. Image to text reads the words in a photo, including clear handwriting, and gives them back as typed text you can copy. The cursive generator only changes how typed text looks.
